Terms and Conditions for Feriecenter Slettestrand A/S

Prices and VAT

All prices at Feriecenter Slettestrand are quoted in DKK and include VAT.

Exceptions are experiences which, based on their content and nature, are exempt from VAT in accordance with the rules of the VAT Act.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, an invoice for the full amount (100%) will be sent for payment in advance of the stay.

For online booking, the full amount (100%) including any additional purchases will be paid at the same time as booking. Payment is made by debit card or MobilePay via DIBS (Dansk Internet Betalingsservice) approved by PBS.4 or Stripe.

Gift Card

Our gift card is an amount gift card that can be used as a means of payment for overnight stays and/or experiences at Feriecenter Slettestrand.

  • Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issue and cannot be renewed.
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, but for another product of the same value that we offer.
  • Gift cards cannot be used for services offered by external partners that we merely provide (e.g. horse-drawn carriage rides, treatments and mindfulness).

If you want to use your gift card for online registration of one or more activities, events or experiences, please contact us at [mail@slettestrand.dk](mailto: mail@slettestrand.dk) with your gift card ID before registering. Then we'll send you instructions on how to use your gift card.

Booking Confirmation

Once you have completed your booking, a booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided.

If you do not receive an email with your booking confirmation, you should first check whether our email has ended up in your junk email or promotions folder. If it is not there, you can contact us directly for help.

Your booking confirmation contains details about the services you have booked, including: dates, accommodation, accommodation, catering, activities, experiences and/or mountain bike hire, as well as any special arrangements.

It is your responsibility as a consumer to verify that the contents of your booking confirmation match the service (s) you have booked. Cancellation Terms

Overnight Experiences

  • If cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the arrival date, DKK 300 per apartment will be charged.
  • In case of cancellation between 30 and 2 days before the arrival date, 50% of the full price of the stay will be paid.
  • In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the arrival date, the full price of the stay will be paid.

Cancellation of other experiences, activities and mountain bike rental

  • If cancellation occurs between 30 and 2 days before the start time, 50% of the price will be paid.
  • If cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the start time, the full amount will be paid.
  • When purchasing insurance for mountain bike rental, 100% of the insurance price can be refunded until collection. After that, the insurance cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Rebooking

In some cases, there may be an option to rebook for another date or experience for an administration fee. The fee depends on the stay or experience and will be disclosed before rebooking.

Activities, Events and Experiences

All participation in our activities and experience is at your own risk. It is your responsibility as a consumer to ensure a valid accident insurance covering the activity in question.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start time of the experience. Upon arrival for the experience, be sure to be able to document your booking via your ticket or booking confirmation.

Weather conditions

Safety and good conditions are top priority. Therefore, the weather can sometimes make it impossible to endure the experience. Should this happen, the experience manager will contact you so that you can find a new date together.

If we have to cancel

Of course, our experience managers go out of their way to complete the experience. However, unforeseen events can happen, such as illness, weather conditions and the like, where there is no choice but to cancel. Should that happen, you will be contacted by the person in charge by phone/SMS and then by email. In the event that we have to cancel the experience, you will be offered free rebooking to another date or activity of similar value, or be refunded the full amount of your experience. In case of cancellation and questions about this, you are always welcome to contact us.

Image and Video Material

Please note that photos and/or videos may be taken of participants for our experiences, which we subsequently use in our marketing.

Participants are welcome to share pictures/videos of themselves on their own social media if the photographer is credited in the posting.

If you wish to have an image or video removed from our image archive, please send a copy of the image to [mail@slettestrand.dk](mailto: mail@slettestrand.dk) and we will ensure that it is not used in our future marketing.

By disease and the like

If something unpredictable has occurred immediately before/on the day of the experience (e.g. illness), please contact the experience manager so they know that you will not be attending anyway. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.

Alternatively, as a rule, you are welcome to give your ticket to another side.

Mountain bike rental

Time of Pick Up and Return

When booking a mountain bike at Feriecenter Slettestrand, you are obliged to pick up and return the rented mountain bike (s) at the times stated in the confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Damage

Any damage, technical failure or accident that may occur during the rental period must be reported immediately to Feriecenter Slettestrand. The renter is obliged to compensate for any damage deemed to have been caused to the bike during the rental period. This also applies in the case of theft. Be aware that your own home insurance may not cover it.

Insurance

We offer you insurance when renting mountain bikes.

The insurance costs 29 kr. /per bike and covers most of it, as described below:

  • Lapping
  • Broken chain
  • Defective rear derailleur
  • Damaged gear drop
  • Lighter excised wheel
  • Defective wheel
  • Broken saddle
  • Broken brake lever
  • Broken shifter
  • Damaged helmet

**The insurance does NOT cover: **

  • Stolen or lost bike (DKK 15,000)
  • Broken frame (DKK 5,000)

Experiences incl. accommodation - your holiday home

Electricity consumption

Prepaid electricity consumption is always included in the price of your holiday apartment or holiday home.

Smoking

All apartments and holiday homes are smoke-free. Smoking in the units is subject to an additional cleaning fee of DKK 1,500, - per unit. There is an opportunity to smoke in our small pavilion which you will find in the courtyard. We encourage you not to smoke on the terrace at our restaurant.

End-cleaning

Final cleaning is done by the resort, but does not include dishwashing and cleaning, which guests must do themselves.

Livestock Animals

Pets are welcome at our place, but not in the furniture and beds of the holiday homes, as well as in the buffet areas of the restaurant.

  • A fee per pet is charged for additional cleaning in the holiday home.
  • Additional fees of DKK 1,500 will be charged for cleaning and replacing furniture that cannot be cleaned properly if there have been pets in furniture and/or beds.

We have few, hypoallergenic apartments where pets are not allowed. It is therefore important that you inform us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog on holiday.

Forgotten cases

Forgotten cases are stored for 30 days, after which they are handed over to the recovered goods office. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to store forgotten items for long periods of time.

Please note that while we strive to ensure the accuracy of all information on our digital and printed materials, there may be potential errors, omissions or outdated content. We reserve the right to cancel the order if there is a material and/or manifest error on our website, social media, newsletters and other mailings. We reserve the right to cancel the order. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these potential errors and thank you for your understanding.
